Planning your party's menu doesn't have to be an all day chore and you needn't break the bank to have impressive food. If your guest list is primarily kids then you can stick to time-honored and kid-pleasing food that you're sure to be able to make; think pigs-in-a-blanket, mini-pizza bagels, chips, cupcakes, and candy. But if mostly adults will be coming to your party you may want to scale it up a bit; chicken salad croissants, a vegetable tray, cheese and grapes, spreadable dip with bread, and maybe some fancy desserts.
One great thing about food at a Halloween party is that you can give everyday foods creepy names. Try telling your guests that you don't have ketchup or mustard but they can dip their pigs-in-a-blanket in rat blood or goblin slime! And no, those aren't brownies, they're chunks of cemetery mud!
When it comes to Halloween party food, whether your guest were born in the seventies or are actually seven, just be creative and you will be sure to please.
