How To Make a Head In a Jar

Talk about a creepy decoration! Nothing says "I am the QUEEN of Halloween creepiness!" louder than a head in a jar prop. And it's so easy you'll want to make ten! We wanted to do a prop like this for a while but much like this guy, could never figure out a way to get a real-sized head in a big enough jar. Thankfully, we stumbled across his site. Yeah, his is way better than ours, we know.

Now the first step would be to go to a local graveyard and find a fresh (or, decaying, if you like) body and remove the head. The trouble with that is finding a jar big enough to use. Just kidding! Who has the time to do all that anyway? No, better stick to the insanely easy and completely legal (and not to mention, less messy) option of printing off a creepy looking picture of a face.

Once it's printed all you have to do is pop it in a jar. Just make sure that the only visible sides of the jar are the ones that show the face. Nothing would be more annoying than to have someone come up and ask "Why do you have that piece of paper stuck in that jar?" If you want, you can also try and attach some hair to the top of the picture. We tried this with old wig hair and found it to be extremely complicated. Just mess around with it and see what kind of look you can achieve.
